There's some parking behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art, but the Art museum is on a traffic circle and getting to the parking can be confusing if you're not familiar with the area. It's a stop in the Hop On Hop Off buses if you are thinking of doing one of those. The Rocky Statue is to the right of the "Rocky Steps" (the ones people run up like Rocky. There's a nice view straight down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from the top of the steps. BTW, the Art Museum itself is world class.

It took us about 30 minutes to drive to Independence Park. If you have a car and you're willing to do a bit of driving, you might consider staying in one of the suburban towns just outside the city.
