The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday said it has written to the Centre requesting the “immediate” allotment of government accommodation for the party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP has said that Arvind Kejriwal will move out of the government bungalow he was staying for the past 10 years, within 15 days.

Believing that the government in Haryana will not be formed without AAP's support, party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday sounded a poll bugle for the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections by leading a roadshow in Yamunanagar district,

Though Kejriwal resigned as chief minister of Delhi, he remains the national convenor of AAP. As per the law, national parties are entitled to office space for their headquarters and government-allotted accommodation for their president.

AAP leader Raghav Chaddha on Friday said that according to the rules laid down by the Election Commission of India, Arvind Kejriwal should be given government accommodation.

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday claimed that the next government in Haryana cannot be formed without the support of his party. Targeting the BJP, he claimed that the entire state wants "badlaav" (change).
