Homer recently underwent surgery on his finger and it's expected the team will place him on injured reserve, according to Scott Bair of Marquee Sport Network. Once the move is official, Homer's earlier return would be Week 8 as the Bears have a bye week in Week 7.

Chicago Bears' wide receiver Keenan Allen has been ruled out of Sunday's contest against the Indianapolis Colts, according to Adam Schefter. Allen is out due to a heel injury that also kept him sidelined last week against the Houston Texans.

Jenkins returned in a limited capacity after sitting out Wednesday. Also limited were Davis, defensive ends Montez Sweat (elbow) and DeMarcus Walker (foot), defensive tackle Andrew Billings (groin), wide receiver Rome Odunze (knee) and running back Travis Homer (finger).
