REO Speedwagon has formally announced their retirement from touring beginning 2025. They took to social media Monday (9/16) to share the news with fans as well as offer some insight into why.

The band wrote in a social media post that differences between singer Kevin Cronin and bassist Bruce Hall led to the sudden retirement.

REO Speedwagon is scheduled to resume performances this fall, starting with a tour show in Rancho Mirage on Sept. 27 and concluding with a Nov. 23 show in Lexington, Kentucky, according to the band’s website. It is unclear whether someone else will be filling in for Cronin.
