Slot has had his say on the Reds' chances of signing Zubimendi in the January window, amid claims the midfielder now massively regrets his decision to reject a summer move

Liverpool boss Arne Slot admits he would've liked to have had Martin Zubimendi part of his squad this season. Liverpool had an offer of €60m accepted by Real Sociedad, but Zubimendi turned down the move to Merseyside. Slot concedes he'd have been happy to have had the Spain midfielder in his squad.

Nunez, who has been restricted to four substitute appearances so far this campaign, is the spearhead of a revamped attack in place of Diogo Jota with Luis Diaz recalled for Cody Gakpo on the left flank. Mohamed Salah continues on the right.
