Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman shut down the possibility of Shohei Ohtani pitching for the club during the postseason on Thursday, telling the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett that Ohtani is " not really an option ."

One day after starting the prestigious 50/50 club in Major League Baseball, Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani learned that he likely won't be pitching for the Dodgers in the looming National League playoffs.

Ohtani hit his 50th homer of the season in the top of the seventh inning after stealing his 50th and 51st bases earlier in the game.
