The justices refused to halt a Nevada Supreme Court ruling that had barred the Green Party because it used the wrong form when collecting signatures.

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected an emergency request to place Green Party candidate Jill Stein on the presidential ballot in a state where the race between the major candidates is expected to be razor-thin close.

The Supreme Court on Friday left in place a ruling by the Nevada Supreme Court that keeps the Green Party off the state’s ballot for the 2024 general election. The Green Party had asked the justices to vacate the ruling while it appealed that decision,
