It doesn't get much tougher than away matches at Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham to start the season. That is the hand Brentford were dealt and that they end that run without taking a point will not surprise many.

Tottenham Hotspur picked up three vital points in Premier League action with a 3-1 victory over Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It wasn't the start that Ange Postecoglou envisioned in the opening 30 seconds of the match.

Brentford did have a couple of late opportunities, none worse than after Guglielmo Vicario was caught in possession and coughed up the ball just in front of his own goal, but was able to recover and save the chance. Spurs went into the break up 2-1 and with the wind at their backs.
